Blessings to my beloved cyber brethren,
Thank you for all bearing with me regarding the disabled comments section on the post “God of all strength.”
The comments section have been enabled thanks to my brother Stu’s step by step help. He was so super patient was a non-techy girl. Many many many thanks, Stu! This is just one of many reasons we need each other. If this issue ever happens to you, see Stu or ironically the comments section on “Comments Disabled.”
On this note, I want us to be reminded that we here, are the Body of Christ and each one of us has a unique gift that is of great benefit to the other. Let us not be competing with each other for the spot light. Let us serve each other in humility and with grace. Let us do what the Lord has equipped us to do. Let us continue to raise the blood stained banner high.
In my “quiet” time this morning I came across this poem from my devotional “Streams in the Desert.” It has been a source of God’s strength to me this year. Each time I review the pages, it is as though God has a message from home for me. I believe you can view the book online as well in case you are ever interested.
He giveth more grace when the burdens grow greater,
He sendeth more strength when the labors increase;
To added afflictions He addeth His mercy,
To multiplied trials, His multiplied peace.
When we have exhausted our store of endurance,
When our strength has failed ere the day is half done,
When we reach the end of our hoarded resources
Our Father’s full giving is only begun.
Fear not that thy need shall exceed His provision,
Our God ever yearns His resources to share;
Lean hard on the arm everlasting, availing;
The Father both thee and thy load will upbear.
His love has no limits, His grace has no measure,
His power no boundary known unto men;
For out of His infinite riches in Jesus
He giveth, and giveth, and giveth again.
